Strolling around Pasar Lama traditional market in the night makes you truly amazed by its crowded, hectic and lively atmosphere especially the roving vendors. For this time, I choose to have a plate of skewered chicken for tonight’s dinner.
See the smoke scattered everywhere? Even I cannot see the people who grill the satays until they look golden and a little bit burned as it is quite thick, like fog. As nowadays is rainy season, make sure to be careful and get ready to get your flip flops dirty as the street is sloppy, dingy and mucky.
Even though it is across the street within the big-sized barrow wheel, there are many cars and visitors coming to the vendor while it is getting night. Be ready to get accompanied by the cats and feel entertained by the street singers while having your satays.
Yummy! This is one plate of skewered chicken along with lontong (compressed rice cake), shredded chili and sweet-thick peanut sauce. What do you think, folks? Yay or nay? All in all, I could not agree more of expressing how breathtaking this is. A must-try chicken satay in Tangerang!

For 10 pcs skewered chicken included lontong, it is worth IDR 18.000,-. Quite okay and not too expensive, for me. If wanting to pay a visit, you had better refer to Kisamaun street as there are lots and lots of culinary spots everywhere!
