Have you ever tried visiting a restaurant putting on Western, Indonesian, and Chinese cuisine included in its menus? If have not, Pan & Flip restaurant can be the answer of fulfilling your curiosity. Located at Supermal Karawaci in Tangerang, it becomes one of lip-smacking culinary spots you can visit while having a walk. As I am wondering about its spectacular bone marrow soup, here is the quick review about it.
Sup Iga Sumsum (Bone Marrow Soup)
Perhaps, you will be startled a little bit while looking at it for the first sight. Scary, big, and brown completed with beef chunks and fried shallots. What makes it a little bit perplexing is the presence of straw. At first, I got no idea how to use the straw while having it. When observing the other tables, the way people eat the marrow is by sucking it using the straw. After stabbing it to the center part, just imagine you are having a bowl of porridge with the fragrance of beef. Hmm, isn’t it cool? Judging from the taste, only its delicacy popping up in your mind. However, it looks somewhat strange and not really instagrammable, though. Accompanied by a plate of rice with prickles, chili and melinjo leaf chips, it will be a great lunch, I guess.
From what I eat, these scores are just naturally coming up inside my brain.
- Taste: 90 / 100
- Ambiance: 80 / 100
- Price: 85 / 100
- Service: 80 / 100
- Food Presentation: 85 / 100
In brief, what I like the most is the concept of restaurant itself in involving Indonesian, Western, and Chinese culinary traits into one as well as its affordable price below IDR 50,000,- on each menu. However, it is quite impossible to visit here during lunch time as it becomes horribly crowded, making you lose your appetite slowly. Here is the address for you if wanting to spare your time spending the lunch time.
